Beyond the Film

A CALL TO ACTION FOR THE RESTLESS AND INSPIRED

Obviously the activism I included in the film is not an exhaustive list, merely an example of popular categories. They may also attract different kinds of people. The march requires people that want to shout and scream; angry extroverts. The Save requires people who are strong of mind, quite and respectful. Beach-coming requires persistence and patience but has the instant gratification of being able to see your labour pay off in front of your eyes.

This film aims to break the stereotype of what an activist is, rebellious and aggressive. Its not just loud, confident, angry people who get involved in activism and sometimes the the calmer approach can lead to more effective results. Below is a video by Sarah Corbett that is a useful watch for anyone that wants to get involved in activism, but feels as though the madness of taking to the street is not for them, or current activists are that prone to burn-out.
