The Hat: Intro
The Hat has been as much a part of this project as the living participants. It has been the inspiration for the title of the film and a vital connector between me, the filmmaker, and my interviewees.

​It was not only a conversation starter, but a symbol that showed I was an activist too. I am not just making a film about them but have an agenda that is in line with theirs.
